The Design Of Boolean Logic Gates Based On DNA Computing

In the 21st century, it is high-tech era, computers have become indispensable in all aspects of people's life and work. And a computer inside actually assembles with many digital circuits, while digital circuits can be seen as the logic gate network that achieve by the electronic devices. Logic gate can perform a logic operation by one or more inputs, and generates a logic output. Boolean logic operation follows the Boolean logic, such as this logic gate is called Boolean logic gate. So the design of logic gates is a key step of the design of a digital circuit design even a computer. This paper introduce a biological way to design a Boolean logic gate.DNA computing is a new kind of biological molecules compute method in recent years, which various DNA-related biological enzymes are used as basic material and series of bio-chemical reactions are employed as procedure of computing. My paper design a Boolean logic gate by DNA computing. The intrinsic idea of DNA computing is that: utilizing DNA molecules and Watson-Crick complement rule to encode information, i.e. computing objects are firstly mapped into DNA strands, then with biological enzymes, various data pool are generated, followed by a series of highly parallel controllable bio-chemical procedures of DNA strands, and finally, biology techniques are used to detect computing results. DNA computing model for the background to design a computer called DNA computer. DNA computer has a highly parallel mass storage capacity and computational speed advantage.This paper introduce two methods of DNA computing to design a Boolean logic gate,one design method is the use of deoxyribozyme, and the other method is based on the design of molecular beacons. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages. The advantage of this new method of calculation is obvious, but it also faces many challenges, we only have more research to overcome these difficulties and make better use of this method of calculation.
