Since the late 1990's, China's real estate industry ,or in other words, housing consuption, has experienced the constant development,furthermore becoming the popular focus of attention for investment and consumption due to its characteristics of long-term stability. Under this circumstance, the market of buliding materials which is closely-related to the real estate has undergone the process of starting small from scratch and becoming big over time. The industry of buliding materials has made the main-channel function for the circulation of buliding materials and architectural materials of decoration and renovation. It is widely spreaded all over the country and covers an area of several thousands square kilometers, employing millions of staff memebers. The total turnover of business transactions reached several hundreds billion yuan.The rapid development of industry is bound to intensify the fierce ness of market competition . Due to the springing up of new competitors and the unclear prospects of the real estate , the competition in the market of building materials has been increasingly in full swing. In order to search the development in the competition, it is the objective requirement for enterprises to intensify the inner management and improve the operation efficiency. Although many markets of building material have realized the professional management, the original rigid managing mode was not shaken off from the perspective of information mechanism, nor was the comprehensive and effective information-management mechanism for inspiration and restraint was eatablished. Therefore ,the market did not gain the adequate momentum for further development,which also affectd its sustainable,steady and rapid development .In order to improve the professional level of market management and renew the managing ideas,improve the efficiency and quality of market management, lower the management cost, the author takes the following elements into consideration: the developing trends of our country's buliding materials market, the operating features of buliding-materials -market management, the practical needs for market management. This paper adopts the object-oriented analytical method and structural designing method ,using the powerbulider language and database management system of SQL SERVER 2000, to develop a market management system of buliding materials involving the transactions of contract management, pricing management and property management. By testing and operating, this system achieves good effects and can meet the needs of building -materials management, which has the friendly interface and comprehensive function for handy operation.Many management items can be carried out through this software,such as management of contract information,management of contract statement,management of pricing statistics,management of stock-in properties,management of property-drawing ,management of property stock, management of property-drawing checklist, management of proprietor information,management of business room materials,management of property information,management of staff information,management of prices and rates.According to the waterfall development model in the software engineering,this paper illustrates the whole designing and developing process of the buliding-material-market management system, from the aspects of developing background,relevant-techniques introduction,system needs analysis, system design,realization of system,system testing and operating.
