The reliability of the hydraulic structures for social and economic development has a very important effect, a correct assessment about the actual state of Hydraulic structures and effective diagnosis of building, these are the basic premise to structural safety work. Our country's hydropower stations, dams and other hydraulic buildings were mostly constructed in early 1950, some service period are more than half a century. During the time, the aging of the concrete, steel corrosion and other factors, many have become in danger of "disease dam." Our country has turned into the stage which maintain and renovate old buildings from the basic building stage. During water conservancy project operation process will damage the building, and is due to the strong turbulent flow, the fluctuating pressure acting on the structure, there is likely to cause structural vibration. Especially the modern hydraulic structures, discharge capacity, high flow rate and the structure tends to lightened development that make flow induced vibration and other issues are more prominent.
