Research On Front-end System And Back-end System Of Network Management

At present, the size of Network is growing, the function is becoming more complex and more and more heterogeneous, which brings network management a great challenge. The traditional network management system cannot meet the needs of the rapid development of the network. The Web Based Management(WBM) technology combies the idea of the Web, which is becoming hotspot and primary form of network management.After studying the frame and correlative protocols of network management system, analyzing the frame of SNMP management, the defect of network management system based on SNMP have been analyzed, this paper give out a design scheme on network management system SNMP based with the WBM structure, and provides an exploitation of archetypal system preparatorily.This paper discusses design and implementation of each subsystem. This system is divided into two subsystems: network management front-end system and network management back-end system. Thereinto, front-end system provides Web access interface for the users, including a flexible network topology graph and alarm vision.Front-end system is designed by Struts, which makes the system be extended and maintained simply. Back-end system implements SNMP based network topology discovery, devices information collecting by polling and Trap alarm receiving asynchronously. Besides, this paper discuesses the implementation of database and describes database tables detailedly used in the system.In the end, the author introduces the testing of the system and makes a summary based on those discussions, also, some futher improvement of the system is given out.
