The Front-end Device Snmp Network Management System Design And Implementation

Building cable television network device management system is an importantmeans to improve network management，and ensure quality and reliability of thenetwork transmission．By installing the head-end device management system，we canmonitor and manage the operation of each equipment room online，and also completemonitoring the operation status of network device or function unit and adjusting theoperation parameters，which can effectively reduce troubleshooting time and enhancethe maintainability of the equipment by accurately and timely locating，and predict thetrend how the device develops.This paper describes the background and significance of the cable televisionnetwork device management system and its research status both at home and abroad.Based on the reality of Baotou Broadcast and TV Network Branch, we summarizes thecharacteristics of the front room transmission systems, and the devices and parameterswhich need to be monitored. By analyzing these problems faced during our practicalwork, and combining with the SNMP network management protocol and TCP/IPnetwork management technique, we propose to do a demand analysis of front-endequipment management system, elaborate some design principle of networkmanagement system and the functions of network management software. On this basis，a SNMP-based front-end device management system is designed. Those head-enddevices which do not support TCP/IP protocol are substituted, then they are completelyintegrated into the management of the SNMP management system. In addition, wethoroughly explain how to design and implement a series of technological key controlstructures and work process，finally presents this SNMP-based network managementsystem, including its practical operation, interface display and so on.Through the stability testing, our front-end device management system operateswell. It is a useful exploration on the design ideas and production process of this system.In the end of this theses, we propose the proposal on how to improve it，pointing out thefurther research direction．...
