There are some limitations for the traditional Fragment Failure Information Management in efficiency and information sharing between different departments. It could cause a time delay in solving problems, so that the solution is not one hundred percent perfect and the result may not be correct. Besides, the problem-solving process cannot live up to the standard requirement. Consequently, there is a potential risk that the failure will recur in the near future. The reliability of the product cannot be ensured. The application of Reliability Information Management System, which highlights the timely information-sharing, will fully make up for its shortcomings, promote inter-departmental cooperation, strengthen the process monitoring, improve the decision-making transparency and decisions to share information quality, enlarge the scope of information in order to provide data to on a wide range of directly or indirectly to improve product reliability level.While establishing Reliability Information Management System, the team takes into consideration the organization structure, quality management system, the actual need, and the requirements from GJB841 Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS). The team establishes the overall objective of the system, and it can be divided into three modules:FRACAS, maintainability forecast subsystem and reliability growth subsystem. According to the function requirements of the system, the paper provides some examples on FRACAS, statistics management, and monitoring and alarming function. In addition, it offers some relevant flow charts on how to solve the problem, specifically some technology problems and quality management problems. It also elaborates the design on public processing module, quality technology problem closed-loop, quality management problem closed-loop and monitoring and alarming module. In this way, the desired objective of improving the product's reliability and maintainability can be realized.Reliability Information Management System mainly focuses FRACAS "information feedback, closed-loop control" principle. Through a set of standardized, strict management process, the failures which have occurred during the product life cycle and the customer expectation will be promptly and accurately collected. The after the analysis of technicians, it is possible to spot the radical reason of the failure, and formulate and implement effective measures to correct the fault and prevent the recurrence of the failure. Generally, the system can automatically collect relevant information, calculate the average interval between failures and the fault rate of the product, and make proper correction, so it can improve the product quality and reliability constantly.
