Reliability is an important indicator to measure the quality of automobile. Undoubtedly, the lack of competitive ability of domestic automobile products in the international market is directly related to the present situation of the application of reliability technique in domestic automobile industry. According to the partial result of the quality control inspection on automobile products, this paper builds a database of reliability for the domestic automobile industry, and develops the software to analyze reliability data. With a strong universality and facility, the software has the properties to count failure, calculate reliability indicator and life indicator, and seek for failure law. The count of failure includes that of failure classification and failure pattern; reliability indicator includes Mean Time To First Failure (MTTFF) and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF); life indicator includes feature life, center life, and specified life.Based on the count of failure in the samplers, this paper analyzes the weak link of the quality of domestic automobile products. With the help of mathematical statistics and automobile reliability theory, we get the failure law of bus, truck and car of the domestic automobile industry and their failure distribution function, reliability function, probability density function, and failure rate function. Accordingly, the present situation of reliability in domestic automobile products is expounded.According to the data statistics and analysis result, this paper analyzes the present situation of the reliability of bus, truck and car, expounds the quality problem of domestic automobile products, and analyzes the main factors affecting their reliability. At last, this paper puts forward some relevant technical countermeasures to improve the quality of domestic automobile products.
