With the development and application of management and reliability engineering, reliability information is put in a more important place. Now, it is a tendency that reliability management software (FRACAS) is applied to the large-scale and/or complicated devices for improving products' quality. On the basis of researching FRACAS specification and reliability's theory, the following solution is brought forward in the software: (1) The data format was unified by the XML DTD of failure data, and then the solution to the collection of the heterogeneous data was obtained; (2) Through research of transform from XML DTD model to relational model, the failure data of XML format was stored in relational database; (3) Workflow technology was employed for controlling the FRACAS workflow. Through the above methods and technologies, the prototype of FRACAS software is implemented. This software is the reliability management software including the airplane's design, manufacture, flight-test, preliminary service stage and so on. It is different from the reliability management software in airlines, which is only used for service stage. In addition, the FRACAS software, which has been implemented by J2EE technologies, is advanced in technology, and useful in practice.
