Computer Graphics is a new industry and its history is not as long as other ones. It bases on computer technique and develops fast. As the high development of civilization and science technology,2D animation has been unable to meet the needs of the people's vision and technology. With the development of computer hardware and software technology,3D animation come along as an emerging technology and gets the favor of the community. At present, it is widely used in 3D industry. Usually, when we talk about CG, in fact we talk about 3D industry which includes 3D cartoons, 3D movies,3D games,3D effect in common movies,3G productions on internet, and etc.Maya is one of the important commercial software in CG industry. MEL (Maya Embedded Language) is senior part of Maya as the most convenient and flexible programming interface. With MEL, users can do all things as the UI of Maya can do, and can also create many other functions as the user want. For its expansibility, Maya becomes an interactive developing software.The aim of this thesis is research and analysis kinds of module of Maya, the modeling module is more detailed. The motivation of this thesis is to solve the problems:"repeated" scenes, the lost of UV and material and Dynamics. These are all specific problems about 3D animation we met in our production. This thesis includes three parts as follows:(1) Analysis many modeling method of 3D animation.(2) With the Mel scripts, we can make it reuse modeling process and build complicated model with same or similar details rapidly and efficiently. Develop Mel scripts to solve the common problem of UV and materials.
