Abstract/Summary:
The ancient paintings have a long history and good traditions, which contains an extremely profound cultural and historical connotations, After thousands of years accumulation and development, the ancient painting has become one of the unique treasures in Chinese cultural. It is a precious wealth in the study of Chinese history, an important source for the study of the political, social and artistic. However, there was rarely reports about image processing and animation technology in the ancient painting, which is harmful to the spread of traditional culture and carry forward.. Based on the image analysis and processing, with the Maya software, this paper use a new two-dimensional model established method on the basis of the contour extract, which opened up a feasible new approach for the realization of character animation in the ancient painting.Based on a large number of literature, the main research in this paper including image pre-processing, contour extraction, the main character modeling process, animation generation principle and production methods. This paper also describes the2-D figure animation image modeling and body deformation, choose the Maya software for the animation generation technique. In the process of animation generation, this paper mainly completed the following work:1. Because of the reconstruction based on the multiple-image is not applicable to the ancient paintings,this paper proposes a new method, which uses only a single ancient figure painting for the2D animation generation as the study, and uses the Canny operator to contour extraction of the ancient figure painting in character, and modeling in the Maya, add bones to the created model, and then using skeleton binding, finally realize the ancient character animation simulation;2. Because getting the ancient painting information is not complete or contaminated, the pre-processing technique can improve image information, strengthen the image detail. On the basis of the image analysis, this paper combined with image processing technology to analyze the ancient image features and structure. Not only the processed image information perfected, but also the noise effect turned out to be small, and this can exclude false contour information in extracting contour;3. The extracting figure contour for process a certain intelligent information is very important, because it is the basis for modeling in this paper. So according to various algorithm thought and theoretical analysis, contour extraction that needed in animation, And then, analyze the experimental results and compared it,we determine the final contour extraction algorithm is Canny;4.In the modeling process, this paper proposes using NURBS module and POLYGON module combination way. By this way, not only the model building process high efficiency, but also there have a good foundation for accurate grain production; Choosing lambert that has no reflection, no bump effect as model material; In order to color the model and add some details for the model,use the surface with the texture map; Create natural character models blended with the background of the original painting;5.In order to reduce the system hardware requirements, reduce the character models distortion, the animation system selection is based on MAYA adaptive grid skeletal system, the model and the bone binding together with this system. Initialize the builded model in the bone system; In order to make the animation process transition naturally, choosing the setting key frames in the character animation.; Through the rendering command for the animation, shows the generated character animation model can well fusion to the original image of the background animation.The Experimental results shows that by employing this technique, the animation vividly lifelike, high efficiency, meanwhile it has low required to the computer hardware, has certain feasibility and applicability. It is a feasible method for the ancient painting, especially it provides a train of thought for the ancient figure animation generation.
