Design And Test Of The Knowledge-Based Courseware Management System

Knowledge-based courseware management system is a system which uses the knowledge as the atomic unit and the courseware as the entities. This system has two main parts, one of them is user management module, and the other is the knowledge management module. This system is used to help the teachers solve the problem of reusing the knowledge points. With the help of this system the teachers could use the knowledge points as atomic components to assemble courseware which fits teacher's teaching style. Using this system also help teachers to use the courseware or other knowledge points which already create by other teachers.The current CAI and courseware management technology were introduced in the first chapter. And it also explains the task of this topic. The second chapter introduces the standards of describing the knowledge points and learners, which called LOM and CELTS. These two standards are also the references of this system. In the third chapter, the three framework of J2EE which called Spring Struts2 and Hibernate were introduced. It briefly introduces the core concepts of the three major frameworks and also the main problems they can solve. The last two chapters introduce the requirements analysis, the overall design and final function and performance testing details. In testing part the basic testing theories is introduced briefly. And the pictures and tables were also pasted in this paper to help explaining the processes of the test using the LoadRunner as the test tool.The author mainly involved in system design, including requirements analysis, database tables designing and also the final system test use cases designing. Up to now this system has started commercial use, and waiting for the feedback from the users.
