The rapid development of modern computer networks, especially that of Internet, is profoundly changing the way we work ,live, and study. This trend has brought about the emergence of various Internet application services, e.g., distance education. As a brand-new way of learning and teaching based on the application of Internet and multimedia technologies, distance education uses the network as its channel, thus going beyond the limitations in terms of time and distance and taking full advantage of the rich resources of higher learning institutions. One key factor of distance education lies in constructing its resource,and,constructing resource for distance education cores in coursware. Courseware cores in knowledge node, center which all sorts of teaching media pass the knowledge content in some field to learners by means of sensory organs. However,at present,there are few of such courseware that can give teaching materials of the knowledge nodes correponding to learner's current knowledge level to them.This paper presents a knowledge node based coureseware model on organizing its content, at the basis of having analyzed the structure of courseware,knowledge node and its character,field knowledge database,student model,and teaching strategy. The model has characters of adaptability to teach, exactly expressing knowledge content,at the same time, promoting the efficiency on developing courseware. Work done in this paper makes sense that courseware instruct student to learn knowledge node on the ground of their current status.Futhermore, The rationality and advantage of the model is included in the following aspects. At first, the attribute of knowledge node basic partial model in the whole model exactly expresses the basic character of content of knowledge node, therefore enable these knowledge node easily to be controlled for teaching. Secondly, temporizing the trend of using database technology to design courseware, knowledge node partial model designed in this paper has a good structure, therefore it is possible to separate control from data.At last, the model is tested by being implemented in development project of computer network and communication courseware of ministry of education. The experiment indicates that it is feasible that the model is utilized to solve the individuation teaching on knowledge node. With the development of morden distance education, and with the getting rid of the stale and bringing forth the fresh in modern computer network technology, the coursewaredesign technology will be separated step by step from courseware implementing, and then become a farseeing research direction. On the other hand, this meets with the need for high-quality network courseware. In future, I will improve on and perfect the model with intelligence theory, so that the model will provide with not only individuation function about knowledge node but also other individuation functions such as about man-machine interface and about learning environment .
