Roadway is considered as the "artery" of mine production, roadway support not only related to mine production safety, but also spent a huge amount of cost. In recent years, with the increase of the depth of coal mining, roadway support is in a very difficult position, The problem of deep rock such as high stress,soft rock seriously hindered mining tunnel excavation. It has become the global problem. With the development of the theory of geotechnical and computer technology, database development and management, visualization technology and programming applications, promoted roadway construction and support information visualization building and development. Opened up to an effective way of solving deep roadway support.In this paper, deep roadway support safety as the background, based with construction monitoring, the theory of underground structure and rock mechanics, to the core of visual programming techniques, database management technology and GDI graphics, preliminary results of the research is a safety information visualization system in the roadway with integrated modeling, data management, data analysis and visualization functions. The system which starting from the roadway support, installing monitoring devices surrounding rock and the surface of the roadway to measure it's deformation, to achieve the visual management and analysis of variation of the data through the process that the system input data into the system database. The system simulated the contour of roadway surrounding rock deformation automatically according to monitoring data, at the same time calculated the maximum allowable deformation of surrounding rock displacement according to theoretical analysis, then compared with the measured values to determine the safety of roadway, that is whether the effects of roadway support to meet the normal use, to achieve the construction of the security and economic goals.The system joints VC++6.0 integrated development environment of object-oriented programming with powerful relational database that based on SQL Server2000 C/S model, operates database by the ODBC interface which provided by VC++, draws roadway section model and results of processed data by the functions of graphics device interface GDI.The article takes a small section of the monitoring data in second auxiliary to -960m in Wangfenggang coal mine for example, demos the entire application process, confirmed that the features of the system are high degree of automation, simple operation, high flexibility and a friendly person computer interface and so on.
