Development And Government Regulation Of Cable Digital TV Building To Explore

As the digital technology is leading to a profound revolution in television broadcasting, the digital television is no longer strange to ordinary families. It not only brings more colors to people's leisure time, but triggers new economic needs and development as well.In China, the transformation from analog cable television to digital cable television is in full swing. People urge that the government plans, manages and regulates this newly emerging industry in an appropriate way, the network operators, digital equipment suppliers and content providers in particular.Based on the theory of government regulation, this article compares the developments of the digital cable television at home and abroad, analyzes the contents and effects of the government regulation during its development, discusses the current situation of the digital cable television in China and concludes to the necessity of the government regulation on it in China. It brings forward six suggestions in making government regulation, which means practically to the development of digital cable television in China.
