The low-light level night vision device is a kind of imaging apparatus, which can improve the visual observation ability and the spatial recognition ability of eyes under the circumstance of low illumination. At present, the very apparatus is mainly uses in areas of night-monitoring, bridge-construction, vehicle-driving, night-observation working, etc。On basis of discussing current situation of the low-light level night vision device and the collimator applied in it, the scheme was designed for the low light level sight in the visible and near infrared bands. Moreover, the structure of the Integrating Sphere Source in the examining system was analyzed, the illumination degree of the Integrating Sphere Source was calculated, and the basic method of apochromatism was introduced. As regard of the technical requirements of wide field-collimator of visible and near infrared bands, the designed parameters as with the initial structure was determined and the optimal design of the collimator was completed by using zemax.
