Since the 1980s, the various countries have developed the performance fine each kind of model low light level night vision device and have equipped the army, glimmer night vision technology in domain and so on the military, public security, astronomy, astronautics, satellite monitor have played the huge role. The low light level night vision device resolution thing ability and the range coverage become appraises its performance the important target, it is deciding the observation, the aiming distance.The visual range of the low light level night vision device is a vital performance norm,this article studies the detecting equation, find the scenery parameter that have a affect on the visual range of LLL night vision systems. the revised formula for visual range of low light level imaging system and the affect of luminance gain to the visual range based on the revised equation was analyzed. thus providing some theoretical basis for measuring the visual range of LLL night vision device.
