The Study On Interactive Development Of CAI Network Courseware Based On Web3D

As is known to all, computer network technology, multimedia technology and virtual technology are three hot spots of the computer education field. At present, computer network technology and the multimedia technology has a good teaching effect on the Computer Aided Instruction. Virtual reality technology is a new technology and has begun to be gradually applied in the Computer Aided Instruction. The main characteristics of the virtual reality technology are Immersion, Interactivity, Imagination .It can not only across physical limitations but can break through the limitation of time and space. How to make the virtual reality technology integrate with the Computer Aided Instruction, play its unique advantages,reflect the value of the education,is a problem that a vast number of educators need to explore. The traditional multimedia courseware express lecture content mainly through displaying relevant pictures, animation, video, and has some limitations in interactive aspects. The virtual reality technology is embedded into various traditional multimedia coursewares,which makes the multimedia technology and virtual reality technology combined. Through stereo display and virtual experiments, it can overcome the limitation of the existing experimental sites of most school, the lack of laboratory equipment, the problem of shortage of education funds at present. Virtual reality technology not only makes the traditional multimedia courseware gain new development, but makes the virtual reality technology integrate with teaching ,which are gradually being understood by students, improving the teaching quality and inspiring students' interest in learning.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1) We analyze Web3D technology in teaching through network, Web3D technology and its characteristics. We point out the advantage of Web3D technology used in teaching resources of the network development. Combining the advantage of network teaching with Web3D technical characteristics, this research USES the Web3D reality technology appropriately. These studies lay a necessary technical support for this topic, which helps to realize the 3D display of the classroom teaching material through network.(2) This paper introduces the working principle of VRML and Cult3D, discusses the physical modeling technology of virtual scene objects, and discuss creating processes and methods of virtual reality. This paper studies the application of Web3D technology in interactive courseware CAI on the network, and interactive network courseware design based on virtual reality.The advantage of Web3D technique is gradually revealed in the Computer Aided Instruction. It changes our teaching mode, improves the quality of teaching, and stimulates student's enthusiasm of study. The advantage and potentiality of Web3D technology will be played out greatly in later teaching.
