Remote data collection,processing,and transmmission are required in the practically environmental protection monitoring projects . Environmental protection data acquisition instrument is an independent device that can be connected to pollution monitoring instruments on site and host computers in EPA.There is one or more monitoring instruments and meters in the field, and the analogue or data output interfaces of those are hooked to the data collection and transmission instruments. Data exchange and instruction transfer are realized through data acquisition system.The paper describes a technological development for the environmental protection data transmission based on a high-tech built in micro processor with ARM9 32 bits capacity .Combined with the advantages brought in by embedded technology,internet,and blue teeth, the instrument allows low power consumption,less price and high performance,which cannt come true if the traditional industrial principle is just employed for on-site data collection,let alone stronger computing ability,more convenient network,and more advanced remote capacity. Wireless transfer network connection and blueteeth communication modules are incorporated,when the traditional data collection channels are retained such as serial communications,USB, Ethernet,and AD . Data acquisition and remote monitoring with more conveniences are achieved by the blue teeth wireless communication technologies,avoiding the inconvenient usages and limitations brought by wire-arrangement,and in the meantime improving anti-interference capabilities for data collection. Multi channel and multi link design proposals in the article give a introduction on how they can make low costs achieved for network construction and running as well as reliant and safe perfomace when environmetal protection data are being collected .The article's focus is on the design process in terms of data collection instrument . first of all, through functional analysis we can determine that it consists of the power -driving application and development programs such as analog acquisition and switching control, RS-232 serial data transfer, GPRS data transfer, bluetooth data transfer, and RS-485 Intelligent communication. Secondly,the components selection will be done for all electrical circuits, and at the same time, schematic and PCB layout will be drawed .The software introduction parts's main points are about the Wince system programming and application implementation process .In the article,a brief comparison is made between the dvantages and disadvantages of various means of communication with the result of many directions to improve the data transmission.
