Research Of Distributed Network Management Model And Achieve Its Key Technologies

Network management is one of the important technologies that are used to make computer networks reliable and safe. With the increasingly complex changes of networks, the mode of traditional centralized network management has exposed many deficiencies in the scalability and reliability. Distributed network management provides a good solution to these problems. Researching network management with the concept of distributed system has the basic theoretical significance and practical value.In this article, the network management and distributed network management are introduced, with emphasis on the analysis of distributed network management mode, research status and a number of major technologies in the distributed network management. After describing the concepts of network and network management, link, network communication and management domain are characterized using of the knowledge of set theory. On this basis, a theoretical model of distributed network management is proposed. According to the proposed model, the proposal of a hierarchical distributed network management system based on management gateway is designed, and the corresponding prototype system is discussed. The main features of the prototype system are the introduction of mobile agent technology and compatible with SNMP management. The results of the quantitative analysis and comparison show that: under certain conditions, the performance of the system's architecture is better than the one of the widely used architecture in the present study.This article also describes the design and implementation of the MA-SNMP management gateway, and has a description on the implementation of mobile agent.
