OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing), as a high-speed transmission technique with the advantages of high frequency efficiency and anti-multipath distortion ability, has attracted wide attentions. Meanwhile, High Altitude Platform System has found wide applications in wireless communication area due to its unique advantages over other communication systems. The thesis mainly focuses on the design and implementation of the high rate data transmission system based on OFDM in HAPS.Based on the introduction of the basic concepts, the principles and the key techniques of the OFDM, the synchronization and channel estimation techniques of OFDM are specially investigated, and the performance simulations, verilog-HDL based simulations and implementation are presented. The whole structure of the OFDM DIF transmission system is proposed and simulated in MATLAB. The design and implementation of the OFDM DIF transmission system are finished. Finally, the debugging and testing over the whole hardware demonstrated the validation of the design.
