| Bovleksh Middle School is a rural school in Soviet Ukraine, which undertakes an ordinary ten-year education system. It is where Suhomlinski's thought in rural education begins. He spares no effort to make this school former Soviet Union's best educational institution where advanced educational thoughts prevail and are testified through practices from which great experience is concluded thoroughly. The experience is more of a blueprint of rural education centered on the development and management of rural schools with discussions on enormous factors that might have affects on them. The experience also includes his unique view on rural teachers and labor education. This thesis attempts to conduct a research on Suhomlinski's thought in rural education and summarize the features of it, aiming to find out some inspirations for rural education in China.The thesis consists of five parts.(1)Introduction. This part includes the research questions, relevant concepts, literature review, research significance and methodology. (2)Background of Suhomlinski's thought in rural education. This part mainly elaborates the social background, theoretical basis and practical foundation of Suhomlinski's thought in rural education. (3)Content of Suhomlinski's thought in rural education. This part is explored from three aspects– rural schools, rural teachers and rural education.(4)Features of Suhomlinski's thought in rural education. This part is elaborated through the discussions between theory and practice, rural education and rural life, educating students and educating peasants, the goal of serving rural areas and that of overall quality improvement.(5)Inspirations on rural education in China. This part, starting from the current situation in China's rural education, states the inspirations in regards to direction of rural education, subjectivity of rural schools, civil education and social harmony. |
