Vocational Training Base Construction Project Cost Control

Currently the vocational education in China is at a rapid developing stage. Practical teaching is an integral teaching link in cultivating applied talents in vocational colleges. However, training base is the fundamental material guarantee and support to implement practical teaching. Therefore, the construction of training bases in vocational colleges must be strengthened to develop our vocational education. In the process of construction, it becomes an important job for vocational colleges to improve their cost control in construction project of training base, save construction funds effectively and derive maximum benefits from the limited investment.On the basis of summarization of theory and experience in cost control for construction projects of training bases both home and abroad, this dissertation analyses the current situation of cost control for construction projects of training bases in vocational colleges and points out the problems existing in various stages of current construction of training bases and their causes. In the course of study, earned value method in the theory of cost control is expounded as a focus. The application of its various indicators reveals the effective control in project cost control through earned value method.An empirical analysis and study is conducted to cost control for construction project of training bases in vocational colleges. Taken the construction project of training bases in Shandong Vocational College of Transportation as an object, a further study is conducted to research the cost control for construction project of training bases in vocational colleges and demonstrate the effectiveness of earned value method controlling the cost of construction project of training bases in vocational colleges through the application of cost and progress deviation chart.Finally, this paper also proposes specific measures to control project cost using earned value method in training bases of vocational colleges. An elaboration is mainly conducted from the reinforcement of organizational management of cost control in training bases, the drawing up of practical plan and the clarification of project target before the construction, and the strict supervision of the actual cost and progress in construction. Strategies are also brought forward to deal with cost control in each phase of training bases.
