Martial arts, the Chinese outstanding ethnic traditional sports event and cultural heritage of national treasures. It is rooted in the fertile soil of traditional culture with deep cultural con no tation."Martial arts instruction" is not only an issue related to the traditional subject,butalso an eternal subject. The quality of martial arts teaching has an important realisticsignificance.It is the need to inherit and carry forward the national traditional culture,animportant way to improve the quality of the people,an important initiative to carry forward and cultivate the national spirit,an important means to alleviate the shortage of sports equipment,and so on.In order to understand the teaching of martial arts in high school in North of Jiangsustatus quo and promote martial arts teaching for the further development.this paper withliterature,surveys,observations,expert interviews,logical analysis,mathematical statistics andother research methods to observe the stategy of Martial arts teaching in high school in the northof Jiang Su,to discuss and analyse current existing problems and proposed a way to solveproblems and the further development of stategy.Through investigation,there are many urgent problems that need to be solved.They are:1.the school paid insufficient attention to the martial arts teaching,the rate of martial arts classesis not high.2.martial arts facilities and equipments are serious short 3.martial arts class hours isless.4.the school pay much attention to technology less to theory.5.content of martial arts isoutdated and repetive.6.martial arts classes lack of necessary teaching complementary means.7.lack of high-quality martial arts teacher.8.school teaching supervision mechanism is not perfect.9.1ack of outstanding martial arts teaching materials. 10.martial arts classes lack of a reasonableidea to the assessment.11.teachers lack the opportunity to study and exchange.12.lack ofcompetition or martial arts performances,and so on.However,through the investigation weunderstand that the status quo of martial arts teaching in high school in North Jiangsu.There arsome encouraging aspects:teaching objectives are more reasonable.teacher education is relatively high.The age structure of teacher is reasonable,student,sinterest in martial arts is heavy,and so on.In order to solve problems and promote martial arts teaching for further development in high school in northern of Jiangsu.Propose the following recommendations:1.for the state's top leaders on the emphasis of martial arts teaching.2.strengthen martial arts venue layout and more channels to raise martial arts equipment,improving existing venues equipment utilization rate, according to the school playground,reasonable distribution of students.3.to change the form of physical education,extension the martial arts classes to off-classes 4.strengthen national traditional culture and education.5.the"self-help"martial arts teaching.6.make full use of martial arts complementary teaching means.7.optimize the integration to strengthen the ranks of teachers.8.perfect school teaching supervision mechanism.9.the preparation of school-based martial arts teaching materials.10.to reform the appraisal idea of Martial are 11,often organize martial arts teaching match,create learning opportunities for the exchange.12.vigorously carry out the campus martial arts and cultural activities.
