Under the influence of the university entrance exam, Chinese teaching take the knowledge, neglecting the experience; Attention reasoning training, neglecting the mood. Those are unfavorable to high school students to form a scientific outlook on life, values and outlook. In senior high school, the novel is very important to Chinese education, but the novel teaching effect is not good.Situational teaching application in the novel teaching, have important educational value, it will help the student learn cognition, learn how to live and disposition of business. Therefore, in the quality education and the new curriculum reform background, applied situational teaching to the novel is very meaningful. This research will provide theoretical reference for teachers, making the situational teaching method be smooth implement in the teaching novels, and improve students various ability.This article based the situational teaching theories of domestic and overseas, constructing socialist learning theory, emotion psychology theory, learning psychology theoretical guidance, according to the instruction of novel teaching requirements of new curriculum standard and high school language program, through interview and questionnaire survey method to understand the novel teaching in real situation and the existing problems, then puts forward related suggestion for improvement from the teaching aim, teaching process, teaching form and teaching ideas. It divided into five chapters: the first is introduction, analyzing the background, the purpose, significance and the research method. The second reviews the basic theory, connotation and principle of Chinese situation teaching, The third reviews the basic requirements of Chinese novel teaching, the applications of situational teaching theory in the novels teaching. The fourth analyses high school Chinese novel teaching situation and cause. The fifth chapter is putting forward the application of situational teaching in the novel teaching. The sixth chapter is epilogue.
