The Influence Of Cultural Difference On Business Texts Translation And Strategies

With the economic globalization, business texts translation is playing a more and more important role. The features of business texts affect its translation process, and thus the translation strategies. A lot of problems arising from business texts translation are caused by cultural difference. These problems cannot be solved only by analyzing the text, but the cultural background. Therefore, this thesis will focus on the strategies to solve these problems arising in cross-culture communication through analysis of the translation process of a company's Standards of Conduct. The introduction will explain the reason why I chose this topic; the first chapter dwells on the features of business texts translation; the second chapter analyses the specific translation process of the Standards of Conduct; the third chapter summarizes the strategies for business texts translation and the last part explains the meaning of the this thesis.
