Objective:The current investigation of lateral violence among nurses and analyzes type, frequency, influencing factors and negative effects, preliminary discussion practicable countermeasures to reduce and eliminate lateral violence, To provide the basis of further implement education training and put intervention measures.Methods:Select three level of first-class hospitals in changchun city,More respectively from the three hospital random select 2 department nurses 170,In June 2011 to August 2011 to three hospital's 170 nurses to take the self-designed questionnaire survey。Questionnaire including2 parts:The nurse's general material and negative behavior among nurses survey. A database was established by EpiData 3.02, and the data was statistical analyzed using software SPSS13.0. descriptive analysis of The present situation of LV, negative influence and cognitive level, the influence factors of LV was analyzed by Chi-square test and Rank-Sum test With the standard ofα=0.05. Combined with the domestic and foreign relevant literature, this paper discusses the countermeasures of LV between the nurses.Results:1. The incidence rate of LV among nurses investigated of three levels of first-class hospotals in Changchun was 70%, in which 18.2% of the nurses experienced only implicit LV, 7.1% of nurses experienced only dominant LV. The first five LV forms that maked nurses feel the deepest impression and the most painful were: rumors spread by other nurses and gossip, opinions and views were ignored, reminded the fault or failure repeatedly, blackout, reluctant to fight to suppress the legitimate rights and interests.2. Sections and the training experience of nurses were the main factors that affecting the frequency of LV; the following three forms of the frequency of LV were significantly different in different work experience of nurses: "Being asked to do things out of the ability by other nurses," "Be repeatedly reminded of fault or mistake" and "the opinions are ignored"; the incidences of "the opinions are ignored" in nurses were significantly different in different ages; the incidence of the form that "being unwilling to fight to suppress the legitimate rights and interests" was significant different in different forms of nurses employed. 3. The impact for nurses after LV: 63% of the nurses grievances, depression or sentiment, 39.5% of nurses decline in enthusiasm for the work, 33.6% of the nurses were hurt in self-confidence and self-esteem, 30.3% of nurses were fatigue.4. Awareness of nurses LV findings: only 14.3% of LV incidents were reported. The main reasons for unreported LV are: 69% of nurses believed that the phenomenon of LV is very common, 52% of nurses thought that it was no help for solveing the problem; 37.8% of the nurses asked the family and friends for support after LV, 33.6% of nurses suffered in silence or asked other nurses for help, 25.2% of nurses vent; 38.2% of nurses had received LV-related knowledge education and training, of which 26.2% of nurses believed that the training was not sufficient.5. 43.5% of the nurses thought that reduce the work burden was the most effective way to decrease the LV incidence, 28.8% of nurses believed that the knowledge of education and training were most effective way. 65.9% of nurses thought that there was a need to set up a specialized agency of LV response in hospital.Conclusion:1. The incidence rate of LV among nurses investigated was high; the invisible LV was more common than the dominant LV.2. The factors for the LV incidence included the departments of the nurses, employment forms, work experience, age and training experience.3. Awareness of nurses LV was low; nurses were lack of relevant knowledge, training and education.4. LV endangered the nurse health of body and mind, reduced the nurse work enthusiasm, aggravating the nurse shortage.5. Hospitals should set up specialized agencies respond to LV, more over, establish an effective mechanism for LV reporting and handling, so as to provide support and assistance for nurses; Increased LV knowledge training and education; Reducing the workload of nurses, easing the psychological pressure, and creating a healthy and harmonious working environment; timely identification and effectively intervention were the effective measures to reduce and eliminate LV.
