| Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect of treating chronic urticaria(CU) with xiao chaihu tang, and explore the mechanism from Chinese medicine and modern medicine,theoretical and clinical aspects.Method: 60 cases from the first hospital of Wuhan city with CU divided into two groups at random. All cases in the two groups have no statistical significance differences in age,gender,course of disease and severity, thus possessing comparability. Xiao Chaihu Tang and Mizolastine were given to the treatment group, and at the same time, Mizolastine only was given to the control group. The clinical effect of all cases in the two groups were observed after 2 weeks,4 weeks and 8 weeks, and at the same time the values of IgE and EOS were tested prior treatment and after 8 weeks of the treatment. And also observed the untoward effects of both groups after the treatment.Results:There was no significant difference in age, sex, course and pre-therapeutic condition.(P>0.05)Through investigating comparison between treatments of integrative medicine and western medicine on 60 patients with chronic urticaria liver qi stagnant type, we found that curative effect in treatment group was significantly better than that in control group(P<0.05). What's more, the recurrence rate in treatment group after 2 months was 31.03% which in control group was 80% and recurrence interval in treatment group was significantly longer than that in control group(P<0.05), indicating that prospective efficacy in treantment was better than that in control group.On the side of laboratory examination index, decreasing of IgE and eosinophils in treatment group was significantly better than control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Chronic urticaria is a common dermatoses, with repeatedly apprearing pruritus wheals as its characteristic, which bring a lot of troubles to the patients. As the specific cause of the disease can not be found for most of the patients, the disease was difficult to cure and the lesions are on the body surface inducing attention, it's easy to make the patients scared, anxious and depressed. It is regarded all the emotion changing is related to liver, gall,triple energizer and SHAO YANG in TCM theory. Feelings like anxiety, anger make internal injury, and then there is ascent-descent disorder of qi, dysfunction of SHAO YANG, catharsis dysfunction of liver and obstruction of qi, finally making the syndroms of liver qi stagnancy. As a result, liver qi stagnancy is also an important cause and pathogenesis of chronic urticaria. Xiaochaihu Tang, a classical formula in Treatise on Febrile Diseases composited of chaihu, huangqin, banxia, renshen, dazao and gancao, is a major formula for reconciliating shao yang. The formula has made effect of smoothing liver and gall, harmonizing spleen and stomach and regulating qi on the therapy for chronic urticaria. Through this research, it can be seen that Xiao Chaihu Tang in the fumatory treatment of chronic urticaria with practical should be curative effect, fewer side effects, and relapse not easily. This strengthened our future work in Chinese Medicine clinical use dermatologist to the faith, it can lead to better play to the advantages of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, so as to achieve better clinical curative effects. |
