Yufeng Tang Clinical Studies, Treatment Of Chronic Urticaria

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Yu Feng Tang decoction in the treatment of chronic urticaria.Metheods We divided 52 cases into two groups at random according to the different treatment method applied. 30 cases in group therapy, treated by Yu Feng Tang; 22 cases in group comparison, treated with Mizolastine Sustained Release Tablets. To observe the total effectiveness and relapse in two groups after treatment.Results In group therapy, the total effective cases were 29(96.67%); In groupcomparison, the total effective cases were 19(86.36%). There is nosignificant difference shown between two groups in the rates of the total effectiveness(P>0.05). To observe the healable patients for three monthes.In group therapy, the relapsesable cases were 7(31.82%); In group comparison, the relapsesable cases were 10(76.92%). There is significant difference shown between two groups in the rates of relapse(p<0.05).Conclusion Yu Feng Tang and Mizolastine Sustained Release Tablets are botheffective treatments to chronic urticaria. At the same time, Yu Feng Tang is superior to Mizolastine Sustained Release Tablets in controlling relapse , and side effect smaller.
