Objective:To explore the relevant factors of gallstone recurrence after Zonggong Paishi treatment in order to provide scientific theoretical basis and practical guidance for effective prevention and treatment of gallstone disease. Methods:To adopt the strict enterer and elimination standards. The thesis takes the clinical records of 341 patients with gallstone as the research object, who underwent the Zonggong Paishi treatment and were cured at the Department of Combined TCM and Hepatology and Cholelithiasis of Kailuan Hospital affiliated to Hebei United University during the period from September 2005 to September 2007. Among them 67 patients with the recurrence of gallstone after two years were taken as the case group, while the other 137 patients was selected randomly from 274 patients without the recurrence of gallstone after two years as the control group based on odd numbered of the questionnaires which accords to the order of admission. Through collection of general data of selected cases, relevant information of Ultrasound Examinations of gallbladder and history data of the patients questionnaires were completed. Relevant factors of gallstone recurrence of patients, who underwent the Zonggong Paishi treatment, were observed through statistic analysis. Main factors go as follows: gender, age, nation, career, BMI, in-hospital thickening of the gallbladder wall, roughness of the gallbladder wall, bile siltation situation, the number of gallstones; wither or not the patient with the history of chronic superficial gastritis, duodenal diverticulum, duodenal ulcer, duodenitis, Chronic Hepatitis B, fatty liver, diabetes, family history; cigarette smoking, drinking and the frequency of pregnancy of women, etc. The information of selected cases is complete. The data were input into Excel 2003 of the computer, analysis of variance in the SPSS 13.0 software. Measurement data with mean±standard deviation to express, group comparison using t test , numeration data using Chi-square test, multivariate analyses using Logistic regression analysis. P<0.05 was taken as special significant differences.Results:1 Compared with the control group, the proportion of workers in the case group was high. There were significant differences between the two groups(χ~2=10.961,P<0.05);2 Compared with the control group, the proportion of in-hospital Gallbladder wall thickening greater than 0.3cm in the case group was high. There were significant differences between the two groups (χ~2=6.899, P<0.05);3 Compared with the control group, the proportion of more than two pieces of stone of the multiple gallstones in the case group was high. There were significant differences between the two groups(χ~2=4.850,P<0.05);4 Compared with the control group, the proportion of the history of chronic superficial gastritis in the case group was high. There were significant differences between the two groups(χ~2=7.487,P<0.05).5 Compared with the control group, the proportion of the history of duodenal diverticulum in the case group was high. There were significant differences between the two groups(χ~2=5.084,P<0.05);6 Compared with the control group, the proportion of the history of chronic Hepatitis B in the case group was high. There were significant differences between the two groups(χ~2=4.741,P<0.05);7 Compared with the control group, the proportion of smoking history and drinking history in the case group was high. There were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05);8 Relevant 8 factors were statistically significant obtained by single factor analysis. Besides, literature refers that family history and BMI were closely related with the recurrence of stones. So above 10 factors were analysed. Multivariate analysis using Logistic regression analysis showed that in-hospital Gallbladder wall thickening(>0.3cm), multiple gallstones (>2), the history of chronic superficial gastritis and duodenal diverticulum were all independent risk factors for the patients with gallstones to be recurrent after Zonggong Paishi treatment. 0R were 2.303, 2.999, 2.338, 3.862, respectively.Conclusion:1 Single factor analysis found that career, in-hospital gallbladder wall thickening, multiple gallstones, the history of chronic superficial gastritis, duodenal diverticulum, chronic Hepatitis B, smoking and drinking were all in close relation to the recurrence of gallstone after Zonggong Paishi treatment.2 Multivariable analysis found that in-hospital gallbladder wall thickening (>0.3cm), multiple gallstones(>2), the history of chronic superficial gastritis and duodenal diverticulum were all independent risk factors for the patients with gallstones to be recurrent after Zonggong Paishi treatment, In the course of disease of patients with recurrent gallstones play an important role.
