Investigation Of The Relationship Between The Community Perception Of The Disease And Use Of Community Health Services

Purpose: We carried out an investigation on the cognition for diseases of the community residents and status of utilization of community health services, and analyzed the relationship between them, aiming to enhance the utilization ratio of community health service.Method: We selected a total of 399 community residents by random sampling methods in Changchun City. We obtained the data by mean of a cross-section.①the demographic characteristics, health status and disease knowledge of the community residents;②Status of utilization of community health services and the satisfaction of community residents to community health services. The data was analyzed using the statistical package of social science (SPSS 13.0). The methods of descriptive analysis and chi-square test were used to process data.Result: We investigated 399 community residents, the two-week prevalence was 24.81%, the chronic disease prevalence rate was 15.79%, Cognition degree with community health service was 83.21%, utilization rate of community health service was 61.15%, and satisfaction of community health services was 75.00%. The cognition for diseases of the community residents was different, which caused difference of utilization of community health services. The different of cognition for disease hospitalizing necessity, self-purchased medicine and health products using, the utilization of community health services was no significant difference.Conclusion:①The general level of the health of community residents was relatively good, health literacy should be further enhanced.②The conception of "serious illness to the hospital, minor illnesses to the community "preliminary formed, hospitalizing flow unreasonable problems still exist.③Community residents had certain degree of cognition for diseases, but it still needs to improve.④The developing of community health services in Changchun City obtained some effect, While it still needs further improvement and development. Improving the cognition for diseases of the community residents was beneficial to enhance the utilization ratio of community health service.
