Objective:To determine if the severity of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome differs by racial group. Methods:The study reviewed the results of 138 adult female patients diagnosed with snoreing disease by overnight polysomnogram between January,2010, and January,2011. Factors analyzed included race, age, body mass index (kg/m2), neck circle, apnea hypopnea index (AHI), lowest oxygen saturation level, average oxygen saturation level, hyperpnea times, apnea times and longest apnea time. Results:There are significant diffrents between the body mass index, neck circle in the two race group. Conclusion:Uigur patient who present to the otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon for evaluation of sleep-disordered breathing may be at increased risk of severe OSAHS. |
