China's urban rail transit construction has entered a period of rapid development. Rail safety accidents happened frequently, and safety management face enormous risks and challenges. Depot is related to the normal operation of vehicle systems and maintenance work. Depot system includes not only buildings, but also power supply system, vehicle systems, and signal equipment and other subsystems. Effective safety management is the attention focus of the industry experts and enterprises. At first, by studying the security theories of domestic and international rail transit systems, the paper tries to research the safety management system of the subway in our country. Based on the rail safety research, the security research of the depot has been further studied on, focus on the joint development of the superstructure and the depot.Secondly, Depot Security System has been studied systematically, which focuses on the whole process of the superstructure project construction. This paper studied the appropriate legal standard system, depot security risk process management, the depot security responsibility system and the security incident management system. At last, for the construction stage of superstructure programs, this paper has studied the risk management approach of the depot with new development model by using risk matrices and event tree (ETA).The paper tries to provide an important guiding role for other rail depots with the development of the properties above, and thus to provide security protection for the full use of land resources of China Urban Rail Transport Depot.
