As the development of national economy, waterpower resource in the ocean area has been exploited and utilized further. Higher demand about the water and sediment mathematical model has been claimed, so as to serve the production practice preferably. The first object of the paper is to establish current-sediment model for the ocean area. The paper have two parts, in the first part, the modeling was studied. In the second one, the model was applied to a practical project.(1) In the paper, numerical simulation methods of current-sediment mathematical model is introduced systemically. Subsequently, the main job of this paper is presented.(2) The theory of two-dimensional current-sediment mathematical model is introduced. And the current equation is based on Navier-stokes equation. As to the numerical solving method, Galerkin lumping coefficient matrix finite element method are utilized.(3) Two-dimensional current-sediment mathematical model is applied to the A block in Dapengao bay. We demonstrate the actual velocity and flow direction in two measurement stations. It shows that the calculated value coincide with measurment value well. It was reliable to establish the current-sediment model and reflect practice clearly.
