Self-learning ability is the basis for a variety of other capacities, has very important significance. This research attempts to make the definition of self-learning ability, and its multi-dimensional research. There are many difficulties in evaluating self-learning ability, this research use the " Equivalent Exclusion Method" as the theoretical basis, drawing on the concept map to evaluate the self-learning ability.On the other hand, the status of normal students self-learning ability, not only reflects the current quality and level of teacher education, in turn directly determines the future development of primary and secondary educated self-learning ability. Comparative study on self-learning ability for physics-major students in undergraduate normal universities, which means status and identify problems in the investigation, and then try to explore the normal education's rules and characteristics on self-learning ability. Therefore, we designed an experiment, from the grade and gender , investigate the status and development laws of self-learning ability of physics-major students in undergraduate normal universities. The results show that, junior year to be measured, their self-learning ability than is measured by a freshman.And female who are measured in self-learning ability aspects of the development of superior to male who are measured.
