In recent years, with the rapid development of national economy and continuous promotion of industrialization and urbanization process, demands for mineral resources, especially strategic mineral resources, increased greatly. If our economy has not backed by the mineral resources, it is difficult to grow quickly very hard in coming decades in the present economic structure in china. Under such circumstances, the supply and demand prediction of mineral resources via predication model and analysis of influential elements on mineral resources demand is very necessary, and provides important scientific basis for the future economic development and social production. Modern survey data processing technique such as regression analysis model and time series analysis model are used widely in energy demand forecasting.This paper takes Shandong province as an example, the demand of main mineral products is forecasted via predication model, and the influence factor on the consumption of main mineral resources have also been discussed, also some countermeasures are proposed. The main research and results are listed as follows:(1) Plenty of literature on situation of mineral resources supply and demand is collected, supply & demand status of main mineral products is analysised, especially the consumption and intensity of coal and iron ore consumption.(2) The basic theory of energy demand forecasting and the predicting model which include modern survey data processing technique such as regression analysis model and time series analysis model are analyzed and studied, and the advantages, drawbacks and applicable conditions of each method are discussed.(3) The influential elements on mineral resources demand are discussed. This thesis analyzes the linked relationships with mineral resources consumption system from four aspects:Industrialization and Urbanization, industrial structure, economic growth and environment.(4) The supply and demand of coal, iron ore and gold mine was forecast via grey predication model and regression analysis model. We obtained the gap of supply and demand of mineral resources basically.
