Based On The The Webgis Technology Research And Application

The Internet technology have got a great development in the 21st century and it provides a good condition for the development of Web GIS.It has became a trend for us to relase a variety of real-time spatial data on the network and provide users with the services of querying,browsing and analyzing real-time spatial data. We can exend the the function of geographic information systems using the Web,also,the Web GIS provide a good platform to release various geographic information and services for us. And GIS applications have become an important aspects of our lives.In the paper,at first we introduced the basic concepts an knowledge of Web,then we analyzed the main implementations of Web GIS and principles for the system design.Then we made a detailed comparison of the main Web geographic information system especially theirs main technologies,based on the results of the comparison,we fixed the solutions of designing Web GIS system.Finally,we completed the design and development of the Web GIS according to the actual requirement of the project.During the research for the project and writing the thesis,I gained the following knowledge:(1)I studied the theoretical knowledge of Web GIS and mastered some basic methods for systems development;(2) According to the special needs of the project we fixed the solution of the project which can provide users with the services of resource share,data change,network server,querying,browsing and analyzing real-time spatial data;(3) We used open source Web platform and the ArclMS module for the System development;(4) We used the JAVA development platform to design the online web documents and map datas of the nuclear power plant;(5) We achieved required functionalities such as information inquirying,publishing and retrievalling using the Web GIS system that we developed;...
