Jiulong River National Forest Park (JNFP) is situated in the southeast of HuNan Province, extending from N25°21'00"to 25°29'44", E113°38'15"to 113°50'25",with a total area of 16154.8 Square Kilometers. The highest elevation of JNFP is 1381 m, which shows a low mountain landscape. The main forest type of this Park is south subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, and there is also warm coniferous forest, warm bamboo forest, south subtropical evergreen broad-leaved shrub, herb etc. The dominate families of the evergreen broad-leaved forest includes Magnoliaceae, Lauraceae, Schima, Ormosia, Fagaceae, Hamamelidaceae and Aquifoliaceae. From 2009 to 2010, the author had investigated outdoors JNFP on several occasions and collected plant specimens with related literature, and he compiled the plant name list of JNFP. Based on this, the flora of seed plants of JNFP was systematically studied and analysised. The result can be created for the protection of JNFP, construction, management measures, rational development and use of the plant resources to provide a scientific basis.According to the survey, there are 1496 species of wild seed plants in JNFP, which belong to 174 families and 686 genera in JNFP (including cultivated plants, there are 181 families,753 genera and 1643 species of seed plants). Among them there are 7 families,9 genera, 10species in Gymnospermeae; 167 families,667 genera,1486 species in Angiospermae. There are 57 species of rare and endangered plants, including 3 species national level of protection plants and 14 species second-class national protected plants,40 species Orchidaceae plants.Through using diversity analysis of species composition, areal-types of statistical analysis and endemic phenomenon analysis, this paper researched and analyzed the feature of the flora of JNFP, composition, endemic phenomenon and geographical linkage on the flora of family, genus and species of three levels. The study proved that the floristic characteristic of LNR is south subtropics. In flora composition, there are rich tropical distribution component, particularly pan-tropical elements, E. Asia and Trop. Amer. But temperate distribution and composition is 37.4%(except Cosmopolitan). In addition, north temperate components make up main composition of the temperate component. Although no endemic family distribution in JNFP, there are still 17 Chinese endemic genera, accounting for 7.0% of the total Chinese endemic genera. In order to better grasp the flora features and characteristics of JNFP, we did further classified analysis in particular the distribution of 582 Chinese endemic species. Compared with its adjacent regions, it shows this area is the closest contact with Chebaling National Nature Reserve and Dupangling Nature Reserve.
