Many practice shows that all the results of comprehensive evaluation are not satisfactory.Accordingly, it is needed to analyze the rationality of the comprehensive evaluation result. Therefore,In order to judge the rationality of various evaluation method and compare them, it is necessary to establish a set of criterion that can judge the rationality of various methods. Thus the rationality of comprehensive evaluation method is appeared.According to the rationality problems of comprehensive evaluation method, in the article, on the basis of existing literature, from the systematic and axiomatic angle,the concept of comprehensive evaluation function is gived, and the judgment criteria of the rationality of comprehensive evaluation method is gived; Several frequently-used comprehensive evaluation functions and the rationality criterion that they satisfied are analyzes; The similarity of frequently-used comprehensive evaluation method is discussed and concluded, that is a process of transformation that many indexes to the single index; Each method is equivalent to an evaluation function is proofed; The rationality criterion of the evaluation function of each evaluation method are analysed; The frequently-used comprehensive evaluation methods are analyzed and compared, the last result which Weighted Synthesis Method and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation is equivalent that is proved.According to the quantities of the rationality criterion, the methods are sorted,and a choice basis for how to select the specific evaluation method is gived. Finally, the rationality of the several methods are demonstrated through examples,and the feasibility of these ideas and the maneuverability of methods is verified.
