Multiple index comprehensive evaluation is a method that by collecting multiple indexinformation which evaluates things, getting a index, so we can reflect the total situation of theevaluated things in a whole. In the multiple index comprehensive evaluation, the exactnessand science of fixing the weight coefficient have direct effect on the result of the evaluation. Inthis paper, we discuss the application in principle component analysis, factor analysis whichare two kinds of multiple status methods and levels analysis, fuzzy synthetic judgement, graycomprehensive evaluation. We study the method to fix the weight and its importance. At thesame time, by giving the discussion in theory and concrete examples analysis, we compareseveral comprehensive evaluation methods. Based above discussion, we elaborate importanceof fixing weight in multiple index comprehensive evaluation. Moreover, we improve somemethod of fixing weight and the feasibility of the problem.
