Shandong Province Livestock Scale Keeping The Economic Benefits

Large-scale production has always been the important topic in the economics researching field, and developing husbandry, increasing farmer's income, guaranteeing security of domestic animal and related farming products has always been issues stressed by the Central Party Committee and the State Council all the time. Especially after stepping into the third stage of development and experiencing the tempering of accessing to the WTO, the development of animal husbandry is facing a lot of challenges and opportunities, therefore it is the great subject for the animal husbandry to tackle the challenge, evade the risk and catch the development opportunity. It is in the above-mentioned background that the research of this thesis is preceded. The focus of the thesis is using theories of large-scale economy to the practice of animal husbandry farming. The research object is the relationship between scale and benefit, which includes that of commodity generation laying hen farm and commodity generation meat chicken farm erected in 2000, which of meat cattle farm and diary farm erected in 2002. All of the above farms were erected during the Animal Husbandry Office of Shandong Province surveyed the producing cost and main economic indicator of husbandry. The aim of the thesis is to find the relativity between farming scale and economic benefit in the production of husbandry, namely with the enlargement of fanning scale, the rule of economic benefit of unit product. Meanwhile, this study is expected to give some suggestion on guiding the production and accelerating the development of husbandry.This thesis contains four chapters. The chapter one is introduction, chapter two theory parts, chapter three demonstrations which is the most important part the thesis too), furthermore, the chapter four is conclusion. The detailed content is as follows: Chapter one is divided into three sections altogether. In section one, the general development course of the animal husbandry of the whole country, especially which of Shandong Province is introduced. Three stages of the development of animal husbandry are analyzed, and the important place of Shandong Province's animal husbandry in the whole country and the significance of it in agriculture and national economy is pointed out, the favorable and unfavorable factors of animal husbandry development of Shandong Province in new stage are discussed and the significance of developing scale farming is revealed. In section two, the theoretic research and example analyze are introduced. In section three, the structure of the research and objects, methods and content of the demonstration analysis are introduced.Chapter two is divided into four sections altogether. In section one, the concept of large-scale production is introduced. In section two, the latest development of scaleeconomic research is introduced; defects and difference of scale economic theory are expounded. In section three ,the researching advance and apply of scale economic theory are introduced. In section four, the formation mechanism of scale economy is introduced.Chapter three is divided into three sections altogether. This chapter is a demonstration research on the relevant relationship between scale and benefit, concerning 324 farms in Shandong Province, the aim of which is to discuss the relationship between farming scale and economic benefit, which is also the practical application of the theory of chapter two. In section one, the basis of defining the research range is introduced. In section two, the historical background, the choice and area distribution of objects and the design of the table on investigating scale farming production cost and main economic indicators are introduced. In section three, the research on the relativity between fanning scale and economic benefit is made, involving laying hens' field, meat chicken field, commodity pigs' farm, meat cattle farm and diary farm. 324 effective data are obtained through analyzing the data, of which data of laying hen fields is 85, data of meat chicken fields is 62, data of goods pig farms is 49 and data of cattle farm is 128 (meat cattle farm is 46 and diary farms is 82). Through the analysis to the dada, three points' distribution maps of raising scale and economic benefits concerning the above-mentioned five domestic animals plants are drawn in order to find regressive equation to do qualitative analysis. The analysis shows that the goods replacing meat chicken field, goods pig farm, meat cattle farm and diary farm accord with the economic theory of the scale basically. The reason that goods replacing laying hen fields do not accord with the theory even is contrary with it and the demonstration research conclusion of farming scale and economic benefits in Shandong Province are given.Chapter four is divided into two sections altogether. This chapter is the policy deducing of chapter three. Useful policy opinions are raised in this chapter. In section one, decisive factors to develop large-scale economy are introduced. In section two, the factors to affect economy benefit of scale fanning of Shandong province beside scale economy are discussed.
