Crisis exists in everywhere which brings serious damage to various industries. The researchers from different countries focus on the crisis management. In recent years, with the improvement of the living standard, travelling is becoming a part of people’s daily life. Tourism can bring people mental relaxation and pleasure of mind. However, during the journey, because of the characteristic of the industry, tourism is suffering the crisis. The crisis not only seriously restricts the rapid development of tourism industry in China, but also causes serious influences on enterprises and society. In order to improve the safety index of tourism in our country, the government and the enterprise’s crisis management ability play an important role. The crisis management in tourism not only affects the survival of enterprise, but also affects the image of our country. Therefor, our country needs a set of practical and effective strategies to manage the crisis in tourism.In recent years, the rapid development of tuniu attracts many young consumers to book traveling online. However, a variety of crisis also do harm to the tuniu.During the tuniu dealing with the crisis, it also exposes its shortcomings and insufficiency in the crisis management, such as the lack of effective treatment which causes the visitors’ complaints; the lack of the whole process of crisis management, the lack of the knowledge of crisis management and so on.This paper studies the crisis management at home and abroad, and receives the inspiration from the literatures. First, this paper introduces the characteristics of tourism and the tourism e-business, the concept of the crisis and crisis management, and then the paper at the background of the crisis in tuniu, analysis the damages causing by the crisis, reveals the shortcomings and deficiencies in the crisis management. Finally, the paper introduces the methods and strategies to deal with crisis management in tourism.
