As telecommunications technology and business continues to develop, transmission network bandwidth increasing fast, more and more extensive use of DWDM technology. Both in the backbone network or local network DWDM has played an important role. in the maintenance of DWDM WDM transmission system, the optical power is one of the most critical performance, changes in optical power can easily lead to network failures, most of the WDM failures are closely related with optical power and affect a wide spread. Network optical power management has become a prominent problem, those requirements maintainers to maintain the system for testing and analysis of optical power to ensure optical power in the normal target range, so that problems can be solved in time. However, with the wavelength division widely used in the transmission, an increasing number of new systems and equipment continued expansion, maintenance of very large quantity, for example, just one of DWDM networks of Yunnan telecom has hundreds of thousands of optical power value, just rely on maintenance personnel to review and judge each issue of optical power is clearly unable to meet needs.This paper proposed WDM intelligent support systems to solve this Problem, The author first analyzes the manufacturers of network management systems, and on this basis, a set of common standards approach, and design intelligent WDM equipment maintenance support system, and The system can dock and multiple network management system to assist maintenance personnel on multiple network analysis of optical power management.The main innovations lies in this article are the invention of WDM maintenance system, to timely identify and solve network problems, and improved maintenance capabilities. In addition, this paper defines the system hierarchy and Standard for data and Interface structure, this make the system became extensible, and can access a variety of different network management system.
