Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) is the new technique which are being developed and applicated in the telecom world both inland and abroad. Wave division multiplex(WDM) is the technique of transmitting more different wavelength of light in one fiber at the same time. And on each wavelength pathway, digital signals are transmitted at the speed of SDH2.5Gbit/s or higher. In present , the 32 × 2.5Gbit/sDWDM system has been applied, and the system of 64×2.5Gbit/s and 32×10Gbit/s are being developed with a mighty advance.This paper based on the system equipment of the 'Wuhan-Guangzhou Sun Square segment of the JING-HAN-HU-SUI-JING 320DWDM long distance transmission network project of China Netcom' and their organizing, implementing and testing. We emphatically discusses the DWDM erection device and testing construction from five aspects, that's project construction organizing, installation of hardware equipment, testing item and index, testing procedure and testing notice. Elaborating recommendation key technologies of OptiX 10G and OptiX BWS 320G equipment measuring and testing techniques of assessment of actual construction operation. All the involved items from instrument selection, linking, examination process, points for attention and examination index will be described one by one with the construction examination process of camera, single-equipment, system test by the legend. Several key technology problems have been solved successfully, such as how to determine the items of single-equipment and system examination, how to test in a proper order, how to dispose test device layout and what to notice in engineering construction of DWDM equipment. All of these are gaped for our company on this item. And also ensure better progress for the similar engineering construction in our future business. Finally, we analyzed the problems met in the testing process such as ray power measuring of DWDM equipments, the disposition of measuring instruments and the election of monitored parameters theoritacally, which have very important guiding significance for similar engineering construction.This subject gained the second-class-prize of the advancement in science and technology of The Third Engineering Group Co. Ltd. of China Railway in 2003; the prize of excellent Engineering Methods and the prize of QC achievements of Shanxi in 2005.
