China Environment News Reported

The Global Climate Conference which held in Copenhagen on December 2009 made environmental protection concerned by countries all over the world. The conference reached the Copenhagen Agreement which takes into consideration of interests of all countries after several twists and turns.The evnironment problem began from the western countries with the industrialization in the late 15th. The term "environment problem" was born in the 1950s, while the environmental problem occurred as early as more than 200 years ago.Since the environment problem has become a significant issue to Chinese government and public, Chinese environmental news appeared in 1980s which is comparatively late. In recent years, environment problem has been incorporated as a major consideration into policy making and institutional reforms. The environment news is considered as "a bright spot in the journalism family" in our country.This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter lists the basic concepts of environmental news and the development processes of environmental news in China. The second chapter described the function of environmental news in promoting social environmental protection atmosphere, and also the characteristics of Chinese environmental news reporting. In the third chapter, it has discussed some problems exist in environmental news of our country at present which including content, form, quality and occupational morality of practitioner, etc. Chapter IV makes constructive suggestions to promote the development of the environmental news.
