W-band is an important window for millimeter-wave ,the transceiver technology research of this band is currently a hot topic in the millimeter-wave applications. This thesis mainly focus on an integrated solid-state W-band transceiver front-end and its key components of the study started. In this thesis, based on the key theoretical research of the millimeter-wave transceiver, respectively, proposed W-band monopulse radar receiver front-end and W-band CW velocimetry the feasibility of the radar transceiver front-end program of Hybrid integration. Both the receive part of the two programs are same, they all use the X-band signal multiplier to the W-band through 8 times, in which single pulse program X-band signal using PLL design, the program then the CW used X-band VCO signal. The research of this thesis mainly focus on some problems on W-band transceiver technology, while some useful conclusions have been drawn as well.the main work is reflected in what ways:First of all, based on waveguide excitation theory and analysis of transition structure, based on existing technology, design and processing component being applied;Second, designed a W-band double frequency multiplier; research the power divider/combiner of W band, in which Wilkinson bridge and the branched-waveguide couplercomponents can be used separately in the tansmitter, and they worked good;Again, for the single-pulse front-end transceiver to send and receive interval to solve the problem have been studied, using the methods of the power supply without a switch chip to protect the low noise amp; Then, desigh some different band filters to solve the purity of the LO multiplier chains. Finally,to satisfy the boundary dimensionand the interface position from the co-operation. CW transceiver components: transmission power is greater than 17dBm; receiver gain of≥35dB.
