.cmm / Cmmi And Iso9001 In Organizing The Implementation Of The Integration

Our institute is engaged in the development of software, hardware and system engineering, with abundant experience in system engineering and hardware development. With the rapid development of information technology, the proportion of software products increases, accounting for over 50% in some system engineering projects. In order to meet the needs of organizational development and fierce competition, more and more companies and institutes are introducing synchronously CMM or CMMI architecture on the long-term promotion of ISO9001.Due to differences in origin, usage and emphasis, there are unavoidable variances between two architectures in implementing the organizational project management. After reduction of these differences through organizational integration, granularity in the execution level of both architectures shall be consistent to increase the organizational efficiency and promote the deployment of two architectures, which is an urgent hotspot and difficulty in the scientific research institutes of national defense industry.Under the guidance of ISO9001 and CMM/CMMI, this paper has explored the method of using system integration to accomplish a coordinated functioning of ISO9001 and CMM/CMMI on the basis of current conditions of systematic projects and to enhance individual advantages to reduce the unbalancedness and incoordination of internal controls and to obtain integration in the processes of project management of the research institute, especially in the coordination of management granularity. This paper has the following main aspects:1. Analysis of similarities and differences of the two architectures. This analysis is conducted from the aspects of origin, history and internal comparison,to establish the basis of the discussion and to lay the foundation of sequent research.2. Exposition of problems faced and necessity of integration based on the present situation of our institute. This section summarizes problems faced in the independent operation of two architectures according to the objective reality of system functioning, and analyses the necessity of integration from the perspective of the development of the institute.3. Detailed practices and proposals of integration from the aspects of organizational structure, deployment approach, systematic requirement and element coverage. Aimed at the present problems, this section determines the principles and the focus, and elaborates the detailed operation proposals on integration of two architectures and some experiences in the practices of our institute.
