With the rapid development of information technology, people require more accurate and faster information. Archives which recorded the various social, political, economic, cultural and artistic primitives activity of human carries the special irreplaceable significance and has become one of the indispensable and important social resources today. While most of archives are still in a traditional laggard manual management mode. This keeps many valued archives out-of-order, inefficiency useful, difficult custody and high cost. This thesis presented a Digital Archives Integrated Management Platform to solve such problems and promoted the realization strategy of archives management informationization process.Based on the analysis of archives digitalization theories and archives management business working flow,UML concept and structure, as well as UML-based Unified Software Development Process (RUP) are described.And the entire system development process was given in detail from analysis to design. The digital archives integrated management platform was structurally designed including the system use case model ,concepts models,system architecture design, topology structure design,function design and database design. The entire process shows that the RUP which has use case driven, architecture centric and iterative and incremental characteristics.Through the RUP research and implementation, combined with the archives management business working flow, based on J2EE,the digital archives integrated management platform was designed.To take the archives description subsystem and the query lending archives subsystem for example,it describes how to manage software design and development with RUP,which is useful for the programming of enterprise business development.
