Library Information Management System

There are large quantities of books of different ages, different countries and different authors in the library. Librarian books borrowing is a frequent work, and the users are uncertain, in which the information is vast, complex, and needed to be accurate, speedy and handled immediately. So we need a mature library management information system to regulate the librarian information integratedly, including the user info and the instant information management of books and materials. In order to meet the demands of different regulations and information inquiring, the main task of the library management information system is to manage the booklists, the user info, and books borrowing scientifically. The central content of this system is system design, basic info-management, book and borrowing management, statistics analysis, system management and conservation. This essay discusses the above aspects so as to establish a sound library management information system. According to the characteristic of diagnoses of the system, combining users'personalities and realities, based on computer LAN, utilizing VB as program development tool, it will be transformed into a scientific, efficient and practical database and have the functions of managing book information, book inquiring and user info, and of counting of book borrowing information. Besides, it can preserve the managers'accession, revision and deletion of the real-time information; ensure the consistency and accuracy between the system and library, as well as the accuracy and optimization of the users'inquiring.
