With the rapid development of information technology, computernetwork has been used in almost all kinds of fields to strengthen thesystematic management of industry information. As a collecting anddistributing center of information resources, there exist problems offrequent book lending and changing user management in college libraries, but now the system of book information management used by manycolleges is based on C/S, which is hardly to meet the book informationmanagement requirements in the functions of the use of users. Therefore,in order to realize systematic management of book information in colleges, the design and development of present college book informationmanagement is to based on book information management and users, which is an inevitable trend for present book information management incolleges.Based on the reasons above, the study makes systematic needsanalysis, design and realization to meet the requirements of users. A optimal design and feasible scheme is also put forward, which help tobuild a perfect system of book information management so as to realizeunified and real-time management to the catalogs, lending of books andquery of users to meet the requirements of all kinds of users. The study can be divided into six chapters. The first chapter is aintroduction, which discusses the background, significance, research statusof the topic, and development direction of the system of book informationmanagement. The second chapter is some technological research aboutsystem development, including software architecture, summary of.NETtechnology, introduction of ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C#and Ajax, thechoice and comparison of database. The third chapter is a need analysis ofa system, which is advanced on the basis of feasibility, function, capability, users and functions to guarantee the system to meet the actual needs ofusers. The fourth chapter is a design of a system, including the overalldesign of the system, the design of database, class used in the system, cases, timing diagram, collaboration diagram and activity diagram of thesystem. The fifth part is the realization of the system, which is built and designed on the basis of eight aspects, such as development environmentconfiguration, realization of the overall architecture, the databaseengineering, the main system interface, journal of head query function, borrower query, new books circulating and information distributing. Thesix chapter is about a optimal design and feasible scheme of the system, which is realized and optimized with the help of book informationclassification and coding, and book dynamic navigation tree. The result of the study has been put into trial operation in a highervocational college, and has achieved good effect. Users generally reflect itas friendly interface, good maintainability, and it is believed to be able tomeet the actual requirements of book management and greatly improve theefficiency and quality of book management of libraries in colleges.
