Distributed Library Management Information System

Library is the distributing center of information resource, at the same time there aremany book materials collected in it, which means strong circulation. Traditional manualmanagement means tremendous working quantity and slow circulating speed ofmaterials. It's necessary for us to use advanced management tools and methods tomanage and make good use of this resource reasonably and make it received popularly.In current information society, managing book resource in library with computer is verynecessary. Nowadays, there are many book resource management systems, most of themjust have done simple things such as inputting book resource information intocomputers, registering of lending and system inquiry. But network has not been used inthe process of lending. So it's urgent to develop a distributing book resourcemanagement system.This paper analyzes the technology of developing Distributing Book ResourceManagement System in details,and analyzes and describes how to design and operatebook resource management software and evaluates the safety of Distributing BookResource Management System. Its content includes:1. Analyzes design method of distributing database frame and distributing applyingsystem.2. How to design and operate book resource management system. The basicfunctions of book resource management system are:1)Management of book resource: inputting and editing of book materials, inquiryand statistics of book materials.2)Lending management: booking through network, registering of lending,renewing the borrowing through network, registering of returning and inquiring of bookmaterials through network.3)Making policies of management: analysis of variety and quantity of bookresource, analysis of its circulating situation and compensation management.4)Electronic book materials management: imputing and editing of electronic bookmaterials, inquiry of electronic book materials and video materials and special database management.5)Maintenance function of the system: management of system configuration,management of user's registering and landing and backup of data and restoring ofdisaster data.3. Analyzes secure warranty of book resource management system: securewarranty of database and applying system and prevent system from inputting attacking.4. Analyzes ways of improving system speed: warranty of hardware of network,software design and optimizing of database.
